GAZ-SYSTEM and Net4Gas agreed to offer bundled capacity at Cieszyn IP
During the 12th GIE Annual Conference in Berlin - GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. (Transmission System Operator in Poland) and NET4GAS (Transmission System Operator in the Czech Republic) agreed to launch a pilot project regarding the bundled capacity of IP Cieszyn on the GSA capacity auction platform. The planned pilot will concern capacity at the currently existing IP Cieszyn, connecting both transmission systems. Further details on the conduct of the auction of bundled product at the IP Cieszyn will be published on the websites of both operators. GSA Platform an effective IT solution for allocating capacity in transmission systems, addressed to those European TSOs who, in accordance with the CAM Network Code should choose a utility to allocate capacity before 1 November 2015.
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. presented the GSA Platform during the 16th meeting of REGIONAL GAS INITIATIVE - SOUTH SOUTH-EAST, which took place in Warsaw on 27 May 2014. In preparation for the implementation of the requirements of the European Network Code for Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (CAM NC), GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. adopted in its Transmission Network Code auction mechanism as a basic, transparent and objective way to allocate capacity at the interconnection points. Since November 2013, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. successfully conducted more than 60 auctions of quarterly and monthly capacity products. Previous auctions were conducted using Information Exchange System (IES), which has nearly 500 registered users and which recently has been modified to offer bundled capacity products. The platform is continuously developed and will achieve full compliance with the requirements of the NC CAM before the end of 2014.
