History:
The GAZ-SYSTEM Auctions Platform was established by the Polish transmission system operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., for the purposes of offering capacity in accordance with the NC CAM in 2014. In supporting the development of a single gas market in Europe, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is harmonizing the rules and regulations in its network codes to enable the emergence of a liberal gas market in Poland with a diversified structure of suppliers.  The Company combines the operation of two natural gas transmission systems on a day-to-day basis, which it why it is a pioneer in the implementation of the solutions of the European network codes in Central and Eastern Europe and it has a good understanding of the need to support Shippers in building their portfolios of natural gas supplies. After the experience which the Company has gained while operating pilot auctions of a related product in cooperation with the German operators twice, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has taken steps to encourage network users to use the modern tools available on the gas market, safely transferring the principles of the European network codes to the day-to-day work of operators and Shippers.
